Oh PAM!!!! Color help?

This baby was born 2/28/06 to a black doe (that carries dilute) and a lilac buck (that has astrex fur). At first I swore it was lilac - till I looked at it today closely. It has sort of a black undertone and then the silverish/lilacish tips to it...











I was trying to show the dark undercoat...


This is what it looks like without any distortion from the light....



All I know about dad is that he is a lilac. In mom's pedigree there is:

chestnut

black

tort

blue

opal

and that is all (in various positions of the pedigree...).

Any idea what this is/could be?

Do the parents carry shaded? The first photo looks like a chocolate sable, but the last looks exactly like a siamese sable. They often have the silver faux ticking.

Post more photos as the baby ages, so we can take another look.

I should add that I've also had very dark torts that looked that color when they were tiny.
