Oat, Wheat & Barley Hay

What is your opinion on Oat, Wheat &Barley Hay? It looks good with 32% fiber. Anyoneever given this to their buns?

I've never used the hay...we do good to finddecent prairie hay where I live. But I do mix up equal parts of oats,and instant barley. They get a tsp. on top of pellets daily, andoccasionally a small piece of whole wheat toast.

I would love to but can't seem to find a decent supplier around here so I give the kids Timothy and Alfalfa.

Are you getting it? I'd be curious to see how they like it. Imight have to break down and order some online for this bunch.

We feed oat hay here and our guys loveit! I used to feed like lucerne hay type stuff, but our bunnies havebeen on oat hay for a few weeks now and they adore it, and mind you Ilike the smell too.

This has pictures of the bale of hay, didn't look like much to me but the bunnies love it.

The link below is an Aussie one but maybe you could read it anyway,it's apparently the closest thing we have to Timothy hay as we don'tallow it in through here in OZ.

I feed this to my bun. It's the Kaytee brand. Heloves it, and I notice that his poops are very big and healthy.

I have orchard grass and oat hay.Everybun likes oat hay (because it smells like oats) but they tend toonly eat the best parts and throw the rest around their cage.They all liked Kaytee Orchard Grass, too. I have Oxboworchard grass now, which looks and smells better. Fey andSprite went for it instantly, while Mocha and Loki needed someconvincing but eat it now. I've heard of people using orchardgrass instead of timothy hay because it bothers their allergiesless.
