Ooooh so cute! Congratulations!! :hearts

I don't know a huge amount about piggies so can't answer your questions I'm afraid, but there are some very good cavy sites out there with great advice. :)

He is adorable, congrats!

They do tend to get a bit more vocal as they get to know you. Guinea pigs are a bit shy by nature, but when they warm up to you trhey make lots of noises.

When he's hungry, he will soon learn to yell for food with a loud "wheeeeeeeek!" sound. When he's 'in the mood' when he's mature, he'll do something called rumble-strutting, where he'll litterally strut around making a little growly rumbling sounds. When he's snuggled happily into your neck being cuddled and stroked, he'll make a happy chattery purring sound.

It might take him a while to get comfy enough to do this stuff, but guinea pigs are awesome little pets and some do end up being very loud :D.

He is beautiful! I would love to have a guinea pig, but it's the one thing my hubby won't let me have - for some reason the WHEET! sound makes him nuts. He lets me do everything else, so I have to let this one go.

Congrats!

ADORABLE!!!

PigPig used to hear the fridge open and he'd immediately start "FWEEEP, FWEEEP!!"

I loved him so much. I miss him :(
