I have a 7 year old, almost 8 year old who is starting to hop really weird. I’m starting to feel like it’s either a disease or neurological. It’s really scaring me with what’s happening. I’m honestly not sure if he will live much longer. He just doesn’t seem to be in good shape right now. He seems almost scared to hop, and he’s very wobbly. I wonder if he has heart disease or is anemic, or if it may be Floppy Rabbit Syndrome. One of my other rabbits actually had these same symptoms a couple of years ago and within probably 18 hours, she died. Please someone help me.

If something is wrong with your rabbit you should get him to a knowledgeable rabbit vet right away. It could be something that is treatable. FRS is treatable with supportive care, a neurological problem from EC or an inner ear infection can be treatable, or if it's a leg or spine injury or arthritis, those can be treatable, but only if you get your bun to the vet.

Thank you. I’m going to try and get him in for a vet appointment today.

I hope he gets better. Hopefully the vet will know what to do. Keep us updated!
We took him into the vet, and they said he’s actually gained weight since his last visit! Haha! So they said that his spine probably sticks out like that because he’s getting older, and he said that Oscar’s doing well for his age, he’s almost 8!
