My rabbit Emmy is 4 months old. This morning I got an email that her mom was available who is 4 so I impromptu said I would take her. Do you think they will remember each other or not have a clue?

Maybe, might make first contact more easy - but in the end that doesn't matter much. What is important is how well their characters are compatible, Now way to predict this.

2 of my 3 pairs are mother-daughter, my strategy is to keep the doelings with mom for 6 months and see which get along best.

Imho it helps a lot to design their space so that there are seperated areas, no dead ends, and levels. My setup is two hutches per pair, connected by a tunnel, so they always can get out of each others eyes if they feel like it. If weather permits they spend daytime in the garden.
