Just postponed spay appt for Abigail for 1 1/2 month. She is a lionhead, 6 months old, but only weighs 869 grams. Vet said that is pretty light. She weighs less than our guinea pigs. Our other lionhead, Dutchess, is much older and weighs closeto 5 lbs, already fixed. Does anyone have experience getting very small females neutered?

Not a small female but a small male. He was a holland lop mixed so he's really small, about 1kg-1.1kg when he got neutered. We just got a cbc and blood chem to see if he was fit to get fixed :)

For my youngest bun, I asked my vet if she had any other requirements before I can get my lady bun spayed (all my previous buns were all over 1year when I got them fixed). She said my bun had to be at least 1.5kg and 6months old :)
