There is a new brand of pellets that I’ve seen going around called “Marriages Hypoallergenic Nutri Pressed Pellets”. At first, I just thought it seemed over the top and more like an ad because the person who advertised it gains profit off their sales. However now, it has gotten quite big and I’ve seen a lot of people switching over to them. So I just thought I’d ask all of you what you think of them - nutritionally? And if you’ve tried them, what did you think? And is it worth me switching to it?

I’ve been feeding science selective grain free for over a year without any problems, but if this one is better, I’d probably switch over :)

The one I’m on now: Selective Naturals Rabbit Grain Free

The marriages feed:

This topic was very interesting to me because I am looking for a new brand of rabbit food for Theo (and I would be willing to order from the UK if it was the best brand) so I compared 5 different brands of rabbit food - 2 from the UK and 3 from the US. I used this link to check the nutrient requirements of each brand.
Here are the links to the brands I looked at (they are all timothy based):

Overall, the best brand was Science Selective Grain-Free, so I would stay with that brand and not swap to Marriages.
The 2nd best brand was Sherwood, even though it has a higher amount of fat than recommended, it has a good amount of protein and fiber. Then came Small Pet Select and Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food, tied for 3rd place. Marriages came in the last place, so please do not swap over to it! It is obviously a brand just trying to make money, and not caring about the rabbits. Marriages has a higher amount of protein, fiber, fats, and ash then recommended. I do not know why it is getting popular if it is not good for your rabbit.

Oh wow! That’s really crazy to me! I know over 20 people who have switched their rabbits to them because it’s supposedly better - hence why I made the thread! Thank you! I’ll be sticking to science selective 😌

According to the ingredient list and analysis, it seems like a fine option to me. Actually pretty good. No added grains or sugars which is a bonus, protein and fiber seem fine enough, fat is at the high end but isn't too much of a concern when pellets are fed limited anyways.

I can't say anything about the brand, but everything with the content looks fine to me, and the added herbs/forage is a nice addition. I wouldn't have a problem trying it out with my rabbits.

Thank you! Do you think it is worth me switching to them? I don’t want to switch him over to them and then not like them so end up switching back.

That's really up to you, to decide if their worth trying out over what you're using now. You could always try them out but not switch over from your current pellets. Just reduce the pellets you're feeding now by a little, and add in a little of these pellets and see how your bun likes them, and if you like them better than what you currently feed. If you and your bun do like them better, then just complete the transition over to them as you use up the rest of your old pellet brand.

Thank you! I think I’ll try them out and see!
