loin head/ angora grooming

I have two male lion head rabbits, Alfie looks like a true lion head and he's relatively easy to groom with a pick style comb and boar bristle brush. Banjo on the other hand has a stronger angora gene in him. He supposed to be a lion head but he looks like a mini Angora. The pick seems to help but he still gets lots of mats which I end up cutting out with a facial razor/ clipper (the buzz kind) and using a fine tooth comb as a gard to protect his skin. On both rabbits I use the clippers to trim around their genitals as it's very fluffy down there and it seems to help them maintain themselves during self grooming. If you have any tips or tools I would be more than happy to hear them.

I fostered one miniature lionhead he looked very similar like yours, I also used baby comb on him and it worked fine, there were a couple of knots when I got him I used my nails to loosen them and then brushed them off, also using your nails as a tweezer you can just pluck some hair it is very easy just try. After this first very good grooming I brushed him about twice a week and then noticed that no more knots he started groom himself better he was actually pretty clean rabbit. I clipped hair around his eyes maybe he was unable to see through it and he became much more active after that. Had him for about 4-5 months, I also used hair clippers just once in a couple months around his eyes.

I generally use a simple baby comb and it works pretty well, but sometimes I use pin brushes, this one very carefully but works very well for detangling the other one double brush with protected pins I used previously but didn't like it honestly.

Here I came across a video very fluffy bunny as well, I wouldn't use those nail scissors honestly but her metal brush is pretty good.

I don't have any advice on grooming but I wanted to let you know that "Bunnies" are not "Young or Baby rabbits" " Rabbit and Bunny are the same things. Baby rabbits are called "Kits". Young rabbits are " Juniors" Any rabbit over 6 months old are " Seniors". Just some friendly information
And don't feel bad as a lot of people think bunnies are babies and rabbits are adults

Thank you very much. Banjo runs into things often and so I trim around his eyes so he can see better and after I do it he rips around the house feeling like a brand new bunn

Thanks you very much, I heard about someone use the word kits before but I assumed that after they left their mother then were bunnies. Then after 6 months they were rabbits. I'm glad I now know the correct term and I can call them bunnies all the time lol.
