Lethargic bun

So first i Already left message for the vets office to get in first thing tomorrow.

But asking anyways as im a first time bun mom.

Hes eating( and nothing new), drinking, not breathing heavy or slow, no grinding teeth, but sprawled out very floppy for him. I have him in pen with new tray of litter so i can 100% make sure hes goin potty and fans on him (thinking maybes hes hot even though hes not panting) and now this is him in pic. Hes a free roam but that makes us extra diligent about keeping things picked up and hes only in a certain part of house.

Any advice would be appreciated as im a new mom as you know and hes my world and my insides are dyin.

So he's not hot or isn't just napping? Does he seem flaccid and less responsive than he normally should be? He is still eating and wanting to drink even now?

If you can get a short video and post it, of the behavior that seems off to you, that could be helpful in seeing if there's something wrong.

Hes drinking( first signs ive had of that) but just acting strange. Ate his dinner of salad and pellets but was extremely floppy when i picked him up. I have fans on him incase hes hot

If he's hot, breathing more rapidly, may have moisture around the nose and mouth, ears feel hot, then active measures need to be taken to help get him cool. If it's severe heat stress, he needs to be taken to a vet immediately.

If a rabbit was flaccid and somewhat floppy body wise(not due to heat stress), but still seemed completely alert and responsive and normal otherwise, there's something called floppy rabbit syndrome that can cause a flaccid body but otherwise alert mental state, believed to possibly be due to a nutrient deficiency. I would try carefully syringing(slowly to avoid aspiration) unflavored pedialyte to see if it was just low blood sugar,, but if it's FRS, then regular care and feeding is needed until what ever was depleted causing the lack of muscle control, is back to normal. And this would be something to discuss with your vet.

If your rabbit is flaccid and also less alert and responsive, then that is serious and most likely you would need to get your rabbit to an emergency vet that has experience treating rabbits, right away. As more specialized and immediate care is needed to stabilize your rabbit and figure out what's going on.
