Kits!

Hey all! So tonight about an hour ago, we went down to do the nightly check in on all the rabbits and a first time mom had her kits, FINALLY! LOL but the problem was she had pulled fur in the box but left the kits on the wire, so we did as usual and took them in to warm them up. After that she was still having kits apparently even tho we had waited a little bit to make sure we had them all. So my question to some who are more experienced than we are, is there really anything else we can do for her to make sure these kits survive?

Besides warming them up and putting all together in a well insulated nest there isn't much you can do right now. Maybe show the nest to the doe if it is not where she built it, by shoving her nose in the nest 2 or 3 times, restrict her to that cage for 2 days or so, give her privacy and lots of food. The kits should get fed within 24h, check then.
