Most posts on here contain information that ivermectin is safe for rabbits - has anyone used it on theirs before and would it be safe for me to use this to treat fur mites at home?

For most rabbits ivermectin is considered safe when dosed correctly, but there are a few breeds like blue eyed whites, dutch, breeds with dutch genetics, and vienna marked/carriers, that can sometimes have a sensitivity to ivermectin that can result in a toxic reaction, like what can happen with collie dogs(MDR1 gene). It's rare, but still a possibility. So with that, Revolution/Stronghold(selamectin) may be a safer option, but it is prescription. For ivermectin, if you're in the UK, it's sold over the counter as a spot on treatment for rabbits, called Xeno 450.

When in doubt, it's always best to consult with a knowledgeable rabbit vet.
