Is my rabbit a mini lop? Do you think I have been scammed by seller?

I was sent these photos when purchasing my bunny

The last photo with the caption I posted is my bunny. I bought her yesterday. She has those “aeroplane ears” which are adorable, however, I am wondering if possibly she’s only half lop? And do you think that the seller has pushed her ears down in the photos they sent me?? Because they look very lopped in the photos advertised, and not so much in real life.

Ears that don't lop all the way, doesn't mean a rabbit isn't pure bred. It has to do with the placement of the ears on the rabbits crown that determines how the ears lop and how much ear control a rabbit has. It has to do with the genetics. It can also have to do with age and the rabbits growth. It can sometimes take the rabbit getting older and growing, for the ears to lop normally. Temperature can also play a part. Warm ears with more blood flow in them, will be heavier and more inclined to lop. Cold ears will have less blood flow, so a rabbit might have more ear control at these times.

So your rabbit could very well be a pure bred mini lop. I've had pure bred holland lops that had a bit of airplane ears and more ear control than other holland lops that I've had. And they were all definitely pure bred.

Agree with Jbun that you just need to wait and see how her crown develops…could take up to 6 months, but it depends on the breeder’s line. You could ask the breeder about when to expect them to lop.

I agree. She looks pure bred to me. She probably just has a tight crown (the best way to explain a tight crown is it basically means the top of her head isn’t very big) so her ears aren’t lopping as much as you think they should. Like JBun said can also take time for the ears to fall down into their mature position.
