Hey guys I’m only new here but my little guy honey has been fighting some belly troubles the last couple of weeks
He spent 2 nights at the vets last week due to pooing abit of blood and seemed to have a sore somewhere inside him
He’s been back at home for about a week and abit and has seemed somewhat normal e.g binking Around in the sand and rolling over and flopping
He is still eating but after last week I’m constantly anxious about him
I don’t fully understand what a hunched position is I’m just curious if this is one?D16992BF-476F-4DBD-9D7C-E3F5C3C9FF11.png

This is currently how he is sitting while he eats some pellets am I being over cautious? Or does his stance seem off?

Sitting hunched will usually just be one symptom when a rabbit has digestive pain. There will be other indicators that will help you to know your rabbit isn't just sitting or resting, but is unwell.

If a rabbit is sitting hunched, they'll also likely not want to move around much, may be tucked in a corner hiding(when it's out of character behavior) or over their water bowl acting lethargic, may be tooth grinding from pain(not to be confused with contented tooth purring), may be eye squinting(not to be confused with closed eyes from normal resting), usually won't be pooping much or very small irregularly shaped fecal balls, and will almost always have stopped eating or will be eating very little. When you have a combination of these symptoms, then it's a very likely indication that a rabbit sitting hunched is unwell.

The images from this link show what a rabbit with abdominal pain might look like, though not all of the info on the link itself is accurate.

Though if you're ever in doubt, it's always best to have your rabbit checked by a knowledgeable rabbit vet.
