Hi everyone I'm new to this. But I hope you guys can help me. So one of my rabbits is usually really sweet but sometimes she gets kind of mean. I had her on my lap on the couch and was petting her and then my mom went to pet her and she tried to bite my mom. My mom has never hurt her or anything. Does anyone know why she might be doing this?

That's normal rabbit behavior for when they're approached by someone they don't trust. My Melvin used to give me little nips and scratches here and there when we first met. Once I gained his trust he was cuddle bunny through and through and only gives little love nips when I stop petting him.

Rabbits don't see very well close up so your rabbit may not be seeing the hand as something connected to your mom- she may have just thought the hand was an intruder in her space.
