Anthony will not stop chewing on his wooden hutch.. despite having 7 toys.. 4 of which are wooden. He is starting to do major damage. He does get out time. about 2hrs a day. How can I stop him eating his cage?

they need more like 4-5h out per day (unless they have an attached run, in which case they should have 60+ square feet to not need time out of the cage/hutch)... though that wouldn't stop the chewing, unfortunately.

bunnies are project-oriented, and his current "project" is to destroy the hutch. you can try rubbing Ivory soap on the areas he chews (if you don't have that brand, look for something that has no fragrances or dyes) - that works for some bunnies. failing that, you could cover the areas he chews with something like chicken wire, hardware cloth or coroplast to block access.

Get a cardboard box. Doesnt matter what size.cut some paper or cardboard up and put it in the box. Put treats in the box like apples, carrots, etc and hide them in the cardbpoard box under all the paper :) my rabbits love it. Gives them something to do

phone books are good toys, too, since rabbits like to play by destroying things.

this used to be a phone book:
