What are some ways to prepare for an emergency evacuation? Should I prepare a BOB (Bug Out Bag) with hay, pellets, etc.? Thanks!

You can prepare a box or bag of supplies you might need, and for things that you can't keep in there like maybe the hay and pellets, add them to a list of things to grab last minute. You'll need a pen or cage, tarp or flooring of some sort if using a pen, litter box, litter, food and water dish, possibly jug of water, food pellets, hay, small dust pan/broom, cleaning supplies, rabbit first aid supplies(gas drops, critical care, syringes, etc).

emergency evac from where and why? probably pack lots of hay, a bag of pellets, bottled water, maybe some dried fruit

We have bugout bags prepared because we live near a nuclear power plant. If an accident occurs, we're supposed to... bugout. ;)

If one hasn't done so already, it's a good idea to check out a US map showing all of the nuclear power plants across the US. The east coast has overlapping 50 mile radius circles around all the power plants. Then there are others scattered across the country.

Here's one map I found:

And here's a link through smithsonian that is interactive and lets you type in your location to see what's nearby:

you might want to look up some fallout maps. they can be much more helpful when considering which direction to go.
