How to clean crust from young bunny’s ears

Our really young lion head, Abigail, has crusty material on the outside of her ears. Is there someway i can remove it without hurting her? Warm water didnt remove it. She is about 3 months old and i am grooming her to prevent matting (she has long hair). Thank you.

My first approach with skin or ear related cleaning is a few drops of baby oil and just wait and see, can't hurt as far as I know. If it is persistent, gets worse or keeps reaccuring at some point I would have it checked out to be sure it's not a fungal or other issue.
A picture might help to give more specific advice. The inside of the ears are clean? Does "outside" mean on the furry side, or just outside the ear channel, on the ears?
