How do bunnies get mites?

Oreo has what I *think* is mites. (scabs on her ear, patches of lost fur, excessive grooming) So I was wondering how do bunnies get mites?

Mites can be tracked in from clothes, shoes, bags, buckets, and any other object that has come in your house, and then in contact with your rabbit from outside. It can be from bedding, hay and even toys too! Mites and Your Rabbit
