Question, I need help figuring out what my bunny’s second breed is. He is a Lionhead and I’m thinking Mini Rex but I’m not entirely sure. Also he is currently 3 years old.

I got him from a humane society that I volunteer at. I am taking him to the fair again, he went one year but since he’s a mix and I need to know what his other half is.

Lionhead mix only because he has the tufts. Rabbits arent like dogs who retain very specific features when mixed except for a few of the longer haired/eared breeds. Theyre all so similar and especually as a reacue its unlikely he was mixed with anything specific. Probably another mix.

I actually knew that, surprisingly. (Pretend I’m not rambling) Anyways he is a 4H show rabbit, and the judges are very annoying if they don’t know what mixed breed you have. So that is the reason of this, cause I’m aiming for state with my two rabbits. Next year will be my last 4H show year, so I just want to be able to answer all things about my bunnies breed for this.

Also thank you for replying to my question.

If you're still trying to decide, just make a best guess. Any one guess is going to be as accurate as the next. I would pick a common breed that has a broken pattern color, that has similar attributes to your rabbit, as this will be the most likely combination with a lionhead.
