Hello everyone,

I'm a brand new Momma and just got a half Holland Lop and half Blue eyed White Lion head 10 week old female. Does anyone know about the sizes of these breeds and about how big she will be full-grown? The owner said the mom was Holland Lop and dad was the Lion head so I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not. I'm trying to buy her a carrier as I am going out of town, but I don't know how big she is going to get and I don't want to have to buy another carrier when she gets to be an adult. I was also curious if anyone had any tips on litter training and cage sizes. Please help!!Screenshot_20200831-113139.jpg

Hi,
First of all congrats on your new fur baby, and welcome to the forum. 😊
I’m not sure about about how big she’ll be when she’s an adult,
@SableSteel @majorv @Happy Hollands, ect,
are all really knowledgeable and should be able to tell you.

About housing, depends who you ask but the House Rabbit Society recommends 32 square feet +

Both breeds max out at just under 4 lbs, however pet quality lines often go up to 5 lbs because they don't breed as much for size.
Does the weight have anything to do with which breed the dad is? I've heard this but wasn't sure if it was true

Aww thank you so much, that's so incredibly sweet πŸ’œ But thanks so much for the advice, I'm still learning and this is my first bunny

Since your rabbit is so young, you have time to work on an appropriate size cage. The small one shown in your photo will suffice in the meantime. I'll link some info for housing (from my website).

Litter training is also nothing to stress about. Some young rabbits will train, others won't. But even those young ones that do train may forget that training with the onset of hormones. Once they are older and fixed, they pretty much train themselves.

You are a lifesaver and an angel amongst women, you have no idea how much your helping me out! I'm just trying to make sure I've got the right products for her πŸ₯°

If you are looking for a pet carrier I would recommend one of these, first has top opening which can be handy when visiting vets but the second one has only two 'screws' in front and it is super easy to take the top off in seconds. I own a few carriers and the second one is super comfy. For your size I think she is going to be medium sized bun and 18"-19" long carrier will be enough for her.

Also have to say the handle on the second one is very good as well, it is fixed and very comfortable
