I noticed a hard lump on my bunny about a week ago. It's near the end of the ribcage on his left side. Some days it's softer and other days like today it's really hard. Could it be a tumor or is it just his stomach? He doesn't seem bothered by it at all, he eats and drinks normally, runs around and poops normally. He also doesn't flinch when I touch it so I don't think it's painful for him.

I really want to take him to the vet but the one in my city is terrible, they can't even treat cats and dogs properly.. Also my bunny gets really scared during car rides, he starts salivating and looks spaced out so I'm scared to take him on a long car ride..

hi there i know this is really really late lol but what ended up happening with your bun? i noticed the same thing with my rabbit a few days ago and same thing hard lump/organ under his left rib cage! kinda freaking out and can’t afford a vet trip, any advice?

It's likely a full stomach, as that's right near the lower part of the left rib cage. Though if your rabbit is acting sick (not eating, showing signs of pain, etc), the belly or that spot feels like an overinflated ballon (bloated), and/or you have any concerns about the health of your rabbit, it's best to consult with a knowledgeable rabbit vet, immediately if showing signs of it being an emergency.

For future, it's best to start your own thread, when it's a thread older than a year (except when updating a thread or it's an ongoing thread topic; eg game, post a picture, etc), or a new situation or topic from the OP. This lends to less confusion for those who might answer, as some only look at the first post when answering. Also a member that isn't currently active, is unlikely to respond to an inquiry on an old thread. Though if you still want to try, create a new thread and tag the members name, along with quoting their post in your OP. If they're still receiving notifications, this will alert them to your inquiry.
