I noticed my rabbit has really dry skin on the back of her ears and she's missing some fur there as well.
She has had problems with fur mites before (she has a weak immune system and has trouble fighting them off), but they have since disappeared. I checked her whole body and there doesn't seem to be dry skin or fur loss anywhere else. Even her head, her neck and the little space inbetween her ears looks perfectly normal.
Do fur mites generally start at the back of the ears? Could it be ear mites?
I am taking her to the vet next week, just hoping I could get some insight before then.
Thanks!
