guard dog or monitor?

well, i have made up my mind. when i move out in 2 years, instead of getting a guard dog, i am going to get a black throat monitor to guard the house i don't think anyone would want to break in with this thing wondering around your house. i would also potty train it so i could leave it out when i am gone, just like a dog :yahoo:
