I'm having fun learning about rabbits genetics and I'm trying to figure out my bunnies Genotypes
I did pretty well for all of my bunnies except for one...
My Gold Tipped Steel one
He is a mix of Holland Lop and Mini Rex
His dad is a Lilac Mini Rex and mother Frosty Holland Lop
I'm trying to figure out where he would have gotten his "Es" gene (because, from what I understand, you need an "A" and "Es" gene to create a Gold Tipped Steel
Anybody can help?:D

The Es would have to come from the Mini Rex, as frosty can't carry steel (frosty is a non-extension color, so they're ee). Frosty is an agouti color though, so that's very likely where the "A" came from.

Steel does exist in mini rex, but its not very common. Steel can hide in self rabbits, so the lilac could have the Es steel gene, but maybe no A to show steel.

I would like to learn more about rabbit genetics. Can anyone recommend some excellent resources?
I found a guy on YouTube that did a serie of videos about genetics and I found it really helpful and well explained
Probably a couple hours to watch the whole serie
Would you like if I give you the links of his videos?;)
