I’m leaving for about a week and a half and I was wondering if it Is okay to give my bunny unlimited pellets while I’m on vacation? He is only a few months old and my dad is going to come once a day while I’m on vaca. I just don’t want him to go into GI stasis. He also eats a lot of hay.

If your dad will fill his water bowl and top his hay up a few times a day, that would be fine. You can also take him to a boarding service who will watch him for you.

If he’s being looked after properly when you’re away, he won’t need unlimited pellets, his usual amount will be fine. Stress to your dad the importance of hay to make sure that he tops it up properly.

If you could get a neighbour or neighbours kid to check up on him when your dad isn’t there, and text you how he’s doing, it might be more assurance.

As long as he’s in the right hands while your away, his normal diet will be fine
