I have a mini rex who will be joining me at college in the fall semester. I know that there's occasional fire drills, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of getting them accustomed to the noise/training them to run to a certain place when it happens. I'm less worried about if I'm in the room, but rather if I'm not there and someone else has to bring her out (since it's rare that people know how to handle rabbits).

I was thinking I could set up her carrier at all times and try to have it as a safe space, that way she'll run there if she gets spooked. Do any of you guys have experience with this?

We have had the fire alarm go off here and Lucy seems aware. I think your idea of having a carrier, especially if it is cloth is a good idea to help block a little sound and calm her.
