Cosy has small mites on his shoulders, neck and back. I will probably be purchasing Ivermectin off Amazon for this. He occasionally scratches but often pulls at his 'beard' fur, it must be itchy.

Is this treatment effective, and does anyone have any tips? thanks.

There is xeno 450 spot on containing ivermectin for treating mites, and is otc. Though if your bun is the white one in your profile picture, you may want to go with Stronghold(selamectin) instead. Some blue eyed white, dutch, vienna carriers, and other rabbits with dutch genetics, can be sensitive to ivermectin, which may result in a toxic reaction. So of the two, Stronghold seems to have a safer effect with less risk of toxicity. But it is prescription, so if you are taking your bun for a dental(seen in your other thread), I would ask your vet for a prescription for Stronghold, which you can get from your vet or order online for cheaper. For either ivermectin or selamectin, retreatment is needed 2 or 3 weeks apart, for 2-3 treatments.
