we just got a baby netherland dwarf a week ago and since weve got him his pee has been orange and we were just wondering if that is normal because we have other baby bunnies and their pee isnt orange

Welcome to the forum!

Have you been feeding him carrots? Carrots, pumpkin, and other foods with beta carotine can turn urine orange. It's okay.

Rede or orange pee in rabbits is normal and is nothing to worry about. However, if you see red flecks in the pee, that could be a sign of a kidney or urinary tract infection. If you are still worried, you can take a sample and bring it in to your vet to have it tested.

Strangely-colored urine is almost always caused by something the bunny ate.
Beets or beet greens will make it blood red (boy, did I freak out the first time it happened to mine!), Carrots make it orange, ETC. It's nothing to worry about, just strange to see in the litterbox...

Bunny urine can vary from almost clear to the red that Greta is describing
