Hi everyone, I have not experienced this before. Chino my 6 year old purebred flemish giant is experiencing dry flaky skin between her shoulder blades. I'm not sure what to do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂 she seems her happy usual self.20230113_182318.jpg20230113_182258.jpg

Usually dandruff is a sign of fur mites, but rarely it can be caused by other health issues. A knowledgeable rabbit vet can do a skin scrape to verify it's mites, and prescribe the correct treatment.

Best treatment is with the topical spot on antiparasitic Stronghold/Revolution (selamectin). I think it may be OTC in your country.

Ivermectin is the other treatment that is generally considered safe for rabbits, but some rabbits can be sensitive to it.

Thank you for the quick response! Luckily, the vet is open this morning 😊 I'm going to head in and talk to them. Probably book her in to be seen and check for mites 😊
