Hi all, lately ive been noticing Bella really scratching at her one ear- when i looked in it today, i saw that it looked a bit flakey inside.. I wasn't able to take a picture of it (camera won't focus). I'm really hoping its just dry skin and not ear mites, any idea on if dry skin in buns' ears is normal?

I would suggest posting a picture. Without seeing it, it is hard to say if it could be normal or not.

If it truly is ear mites, mineral oil may help temporarily but is hard to keep up with enough to clear up the mites completely. It is better to use the proper medication to treat the problem. Though usually dandruff is more likely to mean fur mites and you can't use mineral oil for that. Look also along the back of the neck for signs of dandruff.

When an animal experiences severe itching and scratching, it's called pruritus. In a rabbit, it can be due to fur, skin, or ear parasites; dry skin; allergies; or infections. No matter the cause, it's important to take care of it right away for the sake of your rabbit's health and peace of mind.
This came from a site called the spruce pets. I hope it helps!
