To other show folk- have anyone else noticed a decrease in other breeders in your area's? I know KY is not a rabbit friendly state to start with but I have noticed quite a few small breeders have all disappeared. Most citing raising costs of feed, hay etc and lack of sales of offspring.
I am honestly starting to cut my herd back because of lack of sales as well. I think in the last year I have actually sold 5 rabbits total, the rest of my litters I either kept back but I would say 90% of them went off with a cull buyer or I had to give them away.
Has anyone else noticed the same decrease in their area? Is it just my state that is a tough go?
