I would appreciate some prayers and good thoughts for my daughter this week. Since Kindergarten she has gone to a small Christian School. This would be her last year at the school because next year she will be a freshman in High School.
My wife and I were hoping to come up with a way to to let her finish out 8th grade at the school and graduate with her friends. Finances are not going to allow that, I have had to take a $400 a month cut in pay to keep my job. My wife is still technically a temp although they will hire her once her required time with the temp agency is done.
The sad part is we haven't told her yet. My wife is going to take her out to go shopping tonight and tell her then. The middle school she will have to go to is not the best in the city and it would be quite a culture shock for her. Going from a school of 100 kids to one with 500 to 600 and not knowing anyone. I am VERY VERY concerned she might get tangled in the wrong crowd like my oldest son did when he transitioned to a large public school. Luckily,he didn't get into any trouble and remained a good young man.
She is the sweetest and most sensitive kid in the world, always thinking of others. Shehas had me wrappedaround her finger since the moment I saw her.
So if you can please say a prayer or send her some good vibesthat shewill make the transition smoothly and make some new good friends.
Thanks
Dave
