I noticed today that Whisper has baldness in between his hind legs. There is some peach fuzz coming back on those. But what I saw next was shocking. He has very thin fur on his back and it looks like his skin is flaking.

I don't think it is mites as the flakes are huge and nothing is moving. Any ideas?

Hi Malo!

You won't be able to see mites with a microscope. I'm not an expert, but it does sound like fur mites. Have you checked out the fur mites thread in the Referece section? There are some home treatments, but you would probably be better taking him to a vet to make sure what it is and so the dosage is correct. Ivermectin is often prescribed.

Rabbitsusually don't get dandruff. It is more likely to be fur mites.
