but can't chocolate carriers also posses that ruby glow?

i have just never seen a seal with that kind of shading. . . has hisshading changed anymore? when you took the photo was he in a molt?

and a seal is c*chl c*chl. . .can a rew be a c c*chl? like i said, i amnot up to date on my color genetics, so my rules might be a little off.. .

is there anyway we could get another photo of him?

No... REW's cannot hide anything in the C allele.

In order of dominance:
C
c(chd)
c(chl)
c(h)
c

So in order for it to be a REW, it HAS to be "cc" - complete lack of pigmentation.

If the kit out of this buck is indeed a REW, then the Buck cannot be aSeal as Seals are "c(chl)c(chl)"... it would have to be "c(chl)c"makingthe bucka Sable.

Yes, Chocolate based colors (not Chocolate carriers) also produces theRuby glow... however Rubyglows in a Black based color isonlynoted on shaded varieties "c(chl)".
