My mom and I have been fallowing this story for a long while now, and stayed up late last night to see the first Miner rescued from down in the 'cave'
If anyone wants to watch live I recommend
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/blog/2010/oct/13/chilean-miners-rescue-live-coverage
and
http://www.ustream.tv/cbsnews#utm_campaign=flive&utm_source=1&utm_medium=news-breaking-news
The first is good because theres a lot of close ups, and it keeps the 'tally' of men who have been rescued. The second one does a lot of far away video, but you're able to chat.

Isn't this just amazing, I stayed up late last night as well and there's so many emotions that go through a person watching something like that.

The feelings and changes that these families are going through would be just totally overwhelming.

I was watching it live on the news this morning. The reunions were very heartwarming! I'll bet those guys didn't smell very nice and still the wives clung to them, LOL!

Well what they didn't say (and our local news did) the husband and wife were estranged. Meaning they were separated and not divorced *yet*.

Silly media, anything to make a story.

(btw, this makes total sense as to why she wasn't there)

From what we heard on our news was she didn't go because she didn't want to make a scene.
