Can I take the lid off the nestbox?

The babies are 3 days old (And doing great!) and in a small room with no drafts and is always pretty warm, I was wondering if we could take the room of of the nest box so it is easy to check on them easier. Is it too early?

I don't see a problem with that as long as there's no drafts.

I pick my rabbits up a day after they're born, to cull them, you know, check for still borns, mismarks, and if they're doing alright. Just make sure you put vanilla extract on a cotton ball and smear it on the kit's foreheads and the mother's nose to prevent them from smelling your scent.
