I keep my rabbit in a sizeable playpen. He also gets time out each day to free roam/play.
We put those puzzle mats used for toddlers clothes-pinned to the top of his pen. When he wants, he pulls the pins down and then jumps out.
He has plenty of toys and is neutered, 24/7 access to hay. He mostly stays put.
But I worry about him escaping while I'm at work. I live with my boyfriend and his amputee mother and due to aspects of her exercise regime/recovery he can't free roam for another year or so.
Any advise? I plan to get him a rabbit friend when my boyfriend and I move out, but that won't be until his mom is better.
