Adorable bunnies! I bet they were very happy out there. How did you get your bun used to the harness?

Very cute pics! LOVE that first binky one!

It's a little hard to tell, what type of harness are you using for your bun? The only one you should use is an H style harness, the others are just too risky and put too much strain on certain points of a rabbits skeletal system or can even choke your rabbit if they pull.

Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but I worry about parasites from wild rabbits, so I sprinkle food-grade diatomaceous earth over the xpen area at least 24-hours before taking Honey there. I'm also limited in the places in the yard she can use, because I have so much ground ivy to avoid.

thank you everyone for the replies, all my rabbits are treated monthly for fleas and mites in the warm weather. i am very cautious about this just because of having so many animals (i have cats and a dog too, they are also treated for fleas, mites, and rabies etc)

also the harness on dayl is a "step thru" medium dog harness. because of dayl's size it was hard to find one that would work. basically it goes under her and her arms come thru the harness and it clips on her back where the leash is connected too. i find this harness works best because it doesn't restrict or bother her dewlap (which is quite large) and it still allows for arm movement and if i need to catch her if i pull on the leash it won't choke or hurt her. i originally took dayl to a pet store and tried several harnesses (a regular rabbit harness is out of the question due to her size) and this one fitted best. she surprisingly was fine with the harness from the first time she wore it, and has had several outings. she always stays close to me and sometimes i don't have to attach a leash, its like with the harness she knows not to go far. she just likes to sit and soak in the sun. she is not a very active bunny lol

also would just like to explain moose's eye, moose is under the care of a vet for his eye and other problems since i've had him. he was from a humane society a few hours away. he was found a stray and a raccoon had grabbed him and tore his neck open. he had multiple surgeries before i even adopted him. When i adopted him (i had to wait 6 months for him to recover) he showed no symptoms of anything, then suddenly one day his eye started bleeding from the inside and he developed really sore hocks (he sits on the wood flooring of my living room, he never sits on grates or wires, we've never been able to figure out where the sores are coming from, but he is checked over and treated daily) his ocular nerve ruptured and now he is completely blind. vet discussed removing his eye, but after monitoring we decided it would be too much stress to remove it at this point since its not causing him pain. possibly in the future it might have to be removed. his wife bunny wanda is soo good to him, lets him eat and drink first always and shows him around. moose is a very special bun :)
