I'm trying to help a bunny in a shelter. He is unhappy when picked up out of his enclosure. Any way to get him to go into a carrier to move him from enclosure to a play area?
Training take time. Always put a treat in the carrier when you want him to go in. Hopefully in time, he will run to the carrier when he sees you put a treat in it.
Yeah. No rabbit likes to be yanked out of the only thing they know as "home." The carrier needs to look more enticing than the cage. A treat could do the trick once he understands there is a treat waiting for him.
I have a little rabbit that hates to be picked up. I herd him to his litter box with a blanket. Once he is sitting in his litter box, he will allow me to pick him up. Why? I have no idea!
