So I gave Shadow breakfast. She was super excited run in circles. Breakfast has pellets and lettuce. So when i gave her them i sat down on my bed then I seen her running and gasping for air and drooling!!! I think she was choking she ran from me when I tried to help her! She drooled everywhere. I’m scared what if there is something in there! You think she was choking? I feel like she got to excited and choked on pellets. What if it’s still in there? She acting fine know and finishing her breakfast. Im worried!

I'm glad she's ok now. You may need to get her checked by an experienced rabbit vet still, especially if the sputum while choking was mixed with food particles. Reason being is that if anything was aspirated into the lungs, there is a high risk of aspiration pneumonia developing.

If you see any signs of noisy breathing, coughing, lethargy, lack of appetite, blue lips, and/or mouth breathing, get her to the vet immediately. She will need to be put on antibiotics and possibly oxygen.

Thank you for the link and for responding JBun. I’ve been keeping a eye on her she seem fine. She has been taking medication that vet prescribed for a possible UTI. I checked for side effects but nothing matched. The only thing that I noticed after a few hours (maybe 3 hrs) after her choking she sneezed twice. Do I take her to the vet if I only noticed any of the symptoms you mentioned?
Thanks again.

If she is already on antibiotics then that could help if she did aspirate anything. But yes, if you see any signs of respiratory distress or you feel concerned at all, get to the vet immediately.

I gave my rabbit antibiotics and half of it spilled-.-nice...vet said she’ll be fine, but still. She’s still peeing here and there outside her litter box and she’s already on medication. You think it’s a behavioral thing or something else?
