Broken nail, quip exposed

Hey guys my rabbit broke his nail and I'm looking for advice on what to next. The wound didnt bleed too much, I used septic powder to help it stop, and he let me clean off the blood, I also managed to clip off some of the nail that had broken. The quip is exposed and very red. There is still some nail left and I'm sitting by him so that he doesnt pull it off (he's tried a couple of times but I think it would just make it worse). Its late where I'm but I plan to get Neosporin (antibiotic) first thing in the morning as I dont have any at home. Is there anything else I should do?

I would just keep an eye on it and check it each day to make sure it doesn't show any signs of becoming infected.
