broken ear

My daughter showed her rabbit in the ARBA today. She won best of opposite by one judge and was dq’d by another. He said she had a broken ear at the base of her ear. He also said it is hereditary and that I should try and breed her. I have never heard of this and was wondering if anyone else had.

A broken ear? Isn't the base just cartilage? What breed of rabbit is it and are the ears upright or lopped?

Its a Florida White and the ears naturaly stand straight up and hers stand up real good.

They never airplane or fall over? I would disregard the comment really and continue showing. Maybe ask another judge if you can about it but i have never heard of that
