Bonding two bunnies?

I’ve had Penelope for just over a year now and she is a free ranging house rabbit. She is spayed and the male rabbit that I’m wanting to bond her with is also spayed. He is 4 years old and lost his mate a few months back and is not happy in his current living situation.

In terms of bonding can anyone give me any tips? I have the space for them both but as Penelope is free range there is no neutral space within the house and I’m stuck as to what to do.

Maybe you could bring them outside in an exercise pen and watch them closely or into a room that she doesn’t normally go into. I never had issues with my male rabbit bonding with female rabbits in his territory but i believe females are more territorial
