Black widow bite

Can a black widow bite kill a rabbit my 2 year old bunny passed away the other night I found a black widow 3 feet from where he was. Could it have killed him?

I'm so very sorry to hear that. A very unfortunate thing to happen, and beyond your control I'm afraid if it is the cause. I have a friend who lost several pet rats due to spider bite.
