Hello,
In February I had a couple litters of bunnies. Despite me checking on them every 1-2 hours, and every 30-60 minutes once the mom was close to delivery, one of the first-time moms had her kits outside of the nest. She had 5 kits, one survived. The one surviver got severe frostbite though, and so she is missing part of her tail, about 1/2-2/3 of her back feet, and some of her front legs. Her name is Barnes and she will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. She is just over 2 pounds, and I am expecting her to grow to be between 5.5 and 6.75 pounds as an adult. She moves around just fine, jumping on and off of things, binky-ing, and pushing other bunnies out of the way of food. I noticed that because she doesn't have front feet, her front legs are starting to grow outwards because she is using them like feet (it is not splay-leg). I am hoping that with a front-body wheelchair, she will no longer use her legs as feet and I can correct the issue. Any advise? Any affordable wheelchairs or DIY wheelchair plans?
