Hi everyone! I've never really knew that people fed their rabbits cheerios as treats until just now. Is it safe to feed your bunny cheerios? Fruits are high in sugar for bunnies, so I can't imagine how high in artificial sugar cheerios would be! I probably won't feed if it is safe, I'm just curious. Thanks in advance!

Agree with @Watermelons
There's lots of healthier options and some bunnies don't mix well with processed foods and get GI issues. Additionally there's things in Cheerios that aren't exactly consider safe for buns, so I wouldn't feed them.
Something like banana or strawberry is better.

Cheerios should be given sparingly if you’re going to give it, and only the plain ones. Under stress situations, like going to rabbit shows, we would give a little bit, along with pellets and hay. Actually, from what I see fruit has more grams of sugar than plain Cheerios.

Our bunnies love Cheerios for treats; however, two or three is the limit. Just keep in mind, give everything in moderation, especially treats.
