Hi everyone,
Our 4 week old Holland lop babies have poopy butt. Just wondering if you have any advice on 1) what to do to help and 2) am I needing to adjust diet?
So far I have tried working corn starch into the fur to work the poop out and also trimming away what I can. But some is very cemented and difficult. I also tried patting the area with warm water to loosen. Had some success but not great. Diet is mom’s milk, Timothy hay (always available) alfalfa hay (smaller amount 2x per day) and oxbow young rabbit pellets.

The 4-6 weeks period is a critical time because they’re beginning to transition from Mom’s milk to pellets. You might reduce the pellets some and slowly add back. Hay is important right now, to help keep the gut moving, as well as drinking water.
