Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

Essentially only cats and dogs. It's really sad because (through my blog) I know a few Chinese people with rabbits. I thought there would be possible bunny dates.

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

The idea of them dying is pretty terrifying for me but so is the idea of them living (only in this case though... if I had it my way they'd be around forever). There is no way to predict if they'll be around. Since they are adopted their age is up in the air. Pop is listed as a young adult and I...

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

That is why I didn't want to keep them longer, because they would be older and be used to my home. It's really hard dealing with the fact that essentially the only good reason to keep them with me is because it would make me happy. I guess when you love somebunny you've got to put them first...

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

Oh no they are older bunnies. They are in the 5-6 year range (so teens?)and they are both fixed. They are just as sweet as can be and are well behaved. They are not bonded, just kind of acquaintances and I would be fine with them finding individual homes as long as they are happy.

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

@kirbyultra I didn't check because I knew dogs and cats could go and I have friends in China who have rabbits (all bought there I now know). I forgot that rabbits are rodents and considered pests when not pets. It makes sense since if people released rabbits it wouldn't be good, I wish I...

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

I will be moving permanently in about 3 years but spending the summer in 1. I have had them for about 6 months. It is not really the time that worries me, obviously that is a lot of time to find a home. But as time goes by the bunnies are going to get older. So far they are healthy and happy...

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

I am in Alberta. I have two pictures of my buns. I don't have a camera so I only have the ones from the spca.

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

It was the local spca. I will have to look at the website again but I'm pretty sure they don't want them back.

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

I pretty much knew that's what I should do. It's just so hard to let the little guys go. Especially since they are adopted, I feel so guilty. I guess I'd feel more guilty about holding on till the last minute and have to shuffle them to some random place.

    Overweight Rabbit...

She looks like a cadbury bunny :) Maybe you can try getting her on a leash for some walks (hops)? If she doesn't like it it could work to your advantage, burn a lot of calories trying to avoid it haha

Need some advice about my buns - about rehoming

Well guys here is the deal. Once my schooling is over with I will be off to China so I thought I should check and see how to bring my buns with me. Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to bring them along, rabbits can't be brought into the country. Though this is still a few years away I...

Bunny fights, when and how to break up?

Ha, well I'll just keep working with them I guess. Good luck with your buns also :)

Bunny fights, when and how to break up?

I think I might op for getting them both girlfriends since I think they'd be a little more happy with that. They have been able to be within each others sight but not able to touch for several months. I let them out together in the bathroom so they have neutral ground. I want to get them to be...

Bunny fights, when and how to break up?

I read that when bonding two rabbits you are supposed to let them do whatever as long as it isn't to the point of a bunny fight. I've been letting my bunnies smell each other through the bars of their kennels. When they are doing this they do sometimes try and claw at each other but it is so...

The first bunny date - How did mine go?

They are doing really well. Not bonded yet but they can be really close and not mind each other. Both can be hand fed.

    Yogurt Drops>>

Why not cut the drop into much smaller pieces. No reason to give it the whole one. Really it might not be good for them but really who isn't guilty of indulging in something that's bad for them. It may shave a little while off our lives but isn't it so tasty? It's not like a sliver of yogurt is...

What should a healthy bunnies' poop look like?

How long until it gets to be crumbly? My bunnies poop is hard but squishes more then crumbles... What might cause that?

    New To Bunnies Questions...

Alfalfa is good for young bunnies and timothy for older bunnies. My boys are older but like alfalfa so I just mix the two together so they get to have a little treat. My bunnies like blocks of circular wood that they can roll around. Toilet paper rolls are a favorite too. It's all about finding...

To pet or not to pet?

The shy boy seems to only run from noises so if I quietly reach in and pet him he doesn't run. He does huddle though, even though he has two boxes to hide in and they are both easily accessible. I have been able to pet Winston while he eats but if I go for more then two pets he'll give me...
