    Best Absorbing Litter

Thanks...I haven't had issues with Yest. News but I figured I'd try something else. (to see if maybe that would help). ;)

    Best Absorbing Litter

I was thinking about doing the grated litter box. But I was trying to stay away from it. I"m treating his urine scald with Original Gold Bond Powder per vet orders. or she said I could use Neosporin with vaseline on top. I have his bum shaved too so the urine doesn't stay stuck to the hair...

    Best Absorbing Litter

I have a bunny that has urine scald and the vet has done exams, x-rays and blood work. We can't find anything wrong with Rascal (male bunny). So, I'm checking into litters now. I have always used Yesturday's News, but I was wondering if there is a better absorbing litter. That's faster to absorb...

    bedding question

Ditto....I use cardboard. My rabbits like chewing it up then I just replace it. Then I don't have to worry about them eating any material like towels, blankets, etc. Some bunnies don't eat those things but mine do :)

How long should I wait for worry about no poops?

Sorry, when I said stasis, I meant the gut just slowing down. To me that could mean constipation too. But I would worry if no poo's soon.

How long should I wait for worry about no poops?

I agree. I would call vet if no poo's tomorrow. The bunny may be stasis. Rabbits are good at hiding pain. I would only feed hay, water and pellets. Are you giving Alfalfa based pellets and alfalfa hay?

    NIC cage bottom?

I use coroplast. My bunnies ate and put holes in linoleum (not strong enough material). Then I put cardboard on top of the coroplast for traction. Then they like to eat the cardboard :)

    Mites or Allergy?

I know my first bunny had mites with no hair loss. If your not sure, the skin prob needs scraped.

    Orange Bottom

He has a NIC cage with coroplast floor with cardboard on top of the coroplast (for traction). I think the vet checking him will prob be best. I can't figure out whats going on.
