    No Babies!!!!

Spay it is then. Now I've just got to find a good vet in the "big city". I'll get it done soon if DH gets this new job. Otherwise it may be a few months. Thanks for the advice :)

    Just got a new bunny

Treats quickly helped my shy bun come around. Now whenever she hears my voice she perks up and hops out of her house to greet me. Sure she wants her treats first but she loves pets while she's munching. Congrats on the new bun. People here are a huge help :)

    No Babies!!!!

Annie Oaklie hasn't given birth so I think it's safe to say she isn't going to!!! And since she is the only rabbit I own there isn't any danger of future babies! I haven't found anyone in my area that spays rabbits (our vets are mostly large animal vets since this is a farm community) so I was...

So I should be due in 3-5 days if I am indeed pregnant but I thought it would be fun to drive my human crazy so I'm not making any nests yet. I haven't pulled out any hair or made a cozy spot in my house. This is hilarious for me and watching my human constantly check for a nest is quite...

How far down will rabbits burrow under a fence?

I agree that putting poultry wire down works better than trying to make the fence go 3 feet underground. I have a digger (just found this out) and she has dug about a foot in FROZEN ground. I'd hate to see what she could do if the ground wasn't frozen! Good luck containing your bunnsters :)

    Big bunny Pics!!!

Here are some pictures of Oaks. I posted them on her blog but thought I'd put them here to. Here she is with my dog Ginnger. They get along great. She's as big as the dog!

    Utah

I eat a lot of hay. I only get about 1/3 cup of pellets per day. My human owns horses so I just get the loose grass hay that falls out of the big bales. So I'm virtually free to feed :) I do need a lot of space. My hutch should be no less than 4' long x 2' wide x 2' high so I can turn around...

    Silly Digger Rabbit

Don't know if DH would go for that. However we do have a room that we just finished off for the dogs with pergo floor for easy clean up. But I'd still have to build a pretty big cage wouldn't I? She would time out each day... I guess I just figured she'd be happier outside especially in the...

I believe breed weight is 13-20lbs. I'm just shy of 15lbs. Did I mention I might be pregnant? My babies will need good homes, hint hint ;)

    Silly Digger Rabbit

So Oaks has discovered the joys of digging (didn't take her long did it?) and would probably have dug herself out by now if the ground wasn't frozen. But it is thawing out quickly and I would like to make her a hutch up off the ground and that I can move from summer to winter. Space isn't an...

I'm Annie Oaklie a big beautiful fawn flemish giant. My human is Sarah. We live in Midway up in the Heber Valley. You sure are a pretty rabbit Buttercup. I have pictures of myself on my blog. It's titled "Annie Oaklie" so it's pretty easy to find :)

So after grooming I try to take a nap but instead I get more pictures taken of me. Doesn't every bunny need beauty rest after a good grooming? And LOTS of treats! And here is my favorite picture of Ginnger and I. I'm just as big as she is!!!

    Annie Oalkie

Today I got to come inside to play and get groomed. I got to hang out with m' good buddy Ginnger. She plays with me sometimes but mostly just follows me around and licks my face. It's kinda gross but I let her do it because I'm such a good sport. And my human felt like I should post this...

    Breeding (Funnily enough)

On a personal note... I was soooo happy to find RO because when I found out Oaks could be pregnant tonz of people jumped right in to help me out. It was nice as a newbe to be able to find the breeding forum and post in it. I would have never bred Oaks but because someone else was...

    Annie Oalkie

Hello again! I have, in fact, managed to make my digging hole bigger but that darn woman fills it in every time she comes out to see me! And she is still threatening to build me a hutch off the ground. Guess I'd better make requests for my new house before she builds it the way she wants it...

    I Just Like To Worry

So what do I need to do for Oaks. Just keep a close eye on her to see if she has problems when she kindles? I think I could handle loosing all the babies better than loosing Oaks. Do rabbits usually give birth at night? Do you just keep checking on them every so often?

    Utah

Just wondering if anyone else on here is in Utah? I've been trying to keep an eye out but haven't seen anyone. Maybe I just have a blind spot:biggrin2:

    I Just Like To Worry

please excuse my ignorance but what are "pencil kits?" Also until I get her pedigree (like that will ever happen) I don't have any idea how old she is. I had to call the woman I got her from on my work phone to get her to answer the phone and she was in a hurry to hang up when she heard it...

    Flemish diet

My thoughts on feeding corn to any animal other than livestock.... What happens when you eat corn? Comes out the same as it goes in" :P Not highly digestable.
